# Travel Staff

Thin and long, the Travel Staff is built for the exact purpose of its name. It is often favored by an Explorer Wizard who spends many hours on the road. One famous explorer by the name of Runwen Trant swore by the Travel Staff. He is quoted as describing the staff as thus, "A most exquisitely thin staff made with fine pine wood. Its lightness has no compare and its blue crystal shines a friendly light in even the darkest of places."

Runwen was last reported as hunting for treasure in the Mystic Alpines caverns. He has never been heard from since. The pine of the Travel Staff was darkened by the School of Evocation as they cast a spell to make it as light as a feather. Light as it may be, it still hurts when you get donked on the head. Females used this staff for a very short time long ago before Gwen Dalin created the more fashionable, and much rarer, Travel-Sized staff for females...but that is a tale for another day.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://info.cosmicuniverse.io/lore/cosmic-parchments/wizard-staves/travel-staff.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
