Division

The land map for Cosmic Island is divided into a grid. Each plot of land is a blockchain-backed virtual token (ERC-721) representing an in-game parcel and portion of the Cosmic Universe metaverse that can be host assets and gameplay.

Each plot is a square with its own x,y coordinates with varying rarity and value based on location and the resources available in the geographic region. Certain land plots will contain rich mineral deposits, spawn rare artifacts, or retain other features depending on location.

All land outside of Cosmic Enchanters land is available for purchase on the marketplace (barring the plots with 100% water and official roads). Cosmic Enchanters land is reserved for the developers and will serve as the location for official festivals and special events, and as mentioned earlier, will be the location of Enchanteria, the official city of Cosmic Island. At the very center of this region is the mystical Tree of Magic, which is an iconic representation of the magic that flows throughout Crypton.

There are 5 major types of land on Cosmic Island. These are:

• Elysian Fields — 32% — 2364 Plots — Located in the Central part of Cosmic Island

• Enchanted Forest — 31% — 2303 Plots — Located on the Eastern side of Cosmic Island

• Mystic Alpines — 24% — 1825 Plots — Located on the Western side of Cosmic Island

• Forest of Whimsy — 8% — 568 Plots — Located on the Northern side of Cosmic Island

• Cosmic Enchanters — 5% — 400 Plots — Located in the very center of Cosmic Island

This list is in order of the land with fewest resources to the most resources, and resource nodes will be distributed throughout all buyable land plots. Cosmic Enchanters will not have resource nodes and is reserved for the project team. It will serve as the location for official festivals and special events.

Additionally, there are two other types of “land” that are not for sale. These are:

• Water — 3807 Plots

• Roads — 397 Plots

Since every structure will have space limitations on a plot of land, some structures and buildings will require more than one plot in order to build. Connected land plots can be managed and viewed all at once from a top-down view that can be toggled by the player, who would normally be in 3rd person camera mode.
