# Crystal Portal Staff

![](/files/05TbbRmQ8LTNqXj4m6TZ)

The rarest of male Wizard staves (not counting the Sword) is the Crystal Portal staff. Known by some as the Water Staff, the 'portal' that acts as the focus point is actually an amethyst crystal surrounded by Living Water from Ambrosia Lake in central Cosmic Island. Using the finest oak wood, platinum, and crystals the craftsmanship on the Crystal Portal staff cannot be questioned.

The swirling waters within the staff are said to unlock particular powers when thoroughly researched. Though as at the time of writing this, no known abilities have yet been uncovered. Atop the Water Staff lies a ruby that has been cut into a dome shape. When the light from the Aurora Borealis hits this ruby at a certain angle, and combined with a specific incantation, the light refracts and surrounds the Wizard in a sphere of rainbow light. This rumor is also, as of yet, unsubstantiated.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://info.cosmicuniverse.io/lore/cosmic-parchments/wizard-staves/crystal-portal-staff.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
