# Amethyst Staff

Two versions of this staff exist, one that is commonly used amongst female Wizards and one that is mostly used by male Wizards. The same gem crafter is said to have made these staves in pairs. The purple amethyst crystal that acts as the conduit was magically split when each staff was created.

The blue energy from that crystal is housed in the male version of the staff. The red energy was used in the female version of the staff. Rufus Gauer was the creator, and he modeled the pair of staffs on his relationship with his wife. It is said that she is lost, wandering Crypton in another form. But, he will know her as his staff always shone brighter when she was near. The large crystal of each Amethyst staff he created is said to glow brighter when near to its other half, but no documented proof of this exists. Each staff itself was forged in dragonfire, then staff and crystal were fused together with burned wood and ash reformed with the power of the Aether Shard.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://info.cosmicuniverse.io/lore/cosmic-parchments/wizard-staves/amethyst-staff.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
