Fishing

There are many pools, streams, rivers, and lakes on Cosmic Island, not to mention the expansive ocean surrounding it. These waters are teeming with life. From the relatively common Forest Fish to the extremely rare Jade Octopus, Crypton’s waters have many secrets to reveal. At the Dawn of Crypton, only a few of these creatures have been discovered but no doubt as time goes on more will be found! The Forest Fish, Zebra Tang, and Hermit Lionfish are all possible rewards on Fishing Expeditions. Fish bones are a common find for every fisher though nothing goes to waste in Crypton.

Everything has its use. Of course, any avid angler knows that the better the rod, the better the chance of hooking a big one! As the quality of rod improves so does the chance of success. So, grab your rods, cast your line and see what you can find in the waters of Crypton!

Alchemy

The craft of Alchemy is steeped in mystery and intrigue. Aspiring alchemists must first go through an apprenticeship, or rather a rite of passage. This consists of preparing gathered resources and refining them into usable materials. Only after this apprenticeship is complete will further tasks be entrusted to beginning alchemists. While playing Dawn of Crypton, alchemists will have the ability to refine raw resources harvested by herbalists into usable materials. These include Hemp Paste, Aloe Vera Paste, and Cosmic Poppy Paste. The master Alchemists know that the best cauldrons make for the best pastes.

Applying heat in the right way and carefully mixing are the keys to success. Will you grab your cauldron and learn enough to become trusted with the secrets of Alchemy?

Architecture

Everyone on Crypton has the ability to build in some way, shape, or form. However, there are those who specialize and refine the craft, taking it to the next level. Architects on Crypton have the ability to unlock customizable buildings, unlocking exclusive addons for structures, modules for existing buildings, and loads more fun ways for a player to express themselves. They use the refined materials from miners and woodcutters to hone their skill and have been part of designing most of Enchanteria.

During Dawn of Crypton and the development of Cosmic Island, Architects are getting their hands dirty. The will use their drawing tools to design how the raw resources brought to them by the miners should be refined. What shapes they need for their buildings and to help improve the quality. Of course, who wants pencils that break? The better quality drawing tools, the better work an architect can achieve.

Woodcutting

A staple of civilization on Crypton, wood is used by almost every crafting Profession in one way or another. The building skill available to all of those who wish to learn is among the largest wood consumer, along with carpenters. From the plentiful Pine trees of the Elysian Fields to the unique Iron Bark trees of the Mystic Alpines, all trees have their special uses. However, not all are made equal. It takes skill and a modicum of luck to earn the best quality tree logs, and a woodcutter’s best chance of that is the rarer and higher quality axes.

In Dawn of Crypton, players will initially have access to Pine, Birch, and Bamboo logs. Sticks are a fairly common byproduct that can be used in many different forms.

Who among you has the strength and fortitude to harvest the trees of Cosmic Island and literally build civilization from the ground up?

Herbalism

Perhaps the most broad of all professions, the herbalists travel to all parts of Cosmic Island in search of their precious flora. Whether a plentiful Cosmic Poppy or a somewhat more rare Rainbow Mushroom, a herbalist will take great care in their task. A herbalism kit is an essential item that all who wish to undertake the task will need. A common kit can be purchased, along with other tools. However, those are…well, Common. Tales of rarer kits, with sturdier and better instruments, have been heard all over the land. To use one of these tools instead would provide a significant advantage.

In Dawn of Crypton, herbalists will enjoy access to Aloe Vera, Cosmic Poppy, and Hemp. It is true that these are relatively common herbs when compared with some found within Cosmic Universe, but they are also used for so many crafting disciplines that to have a supply of them is somewhat necessary…and to have the rarer ones…well, that’s just showing off!

Crystal Extraction

Treasure hunters, collectors and purveyors of shiny things are all drawn to the art of Crystal Extraction. Many of the crystals found on Crypton are also found in other realms, however there are some unique marvels that are found solely on Crypton — like the Wizard’s Eye…a deep blue crystal that stories say turns multi-colored the longer you look at it.

During the Dawn of Crypton, crystal extractors will have access to Citrine, Amethyst, and Tourmaline. These are the first forged crystals from when Planet Crypton was first formed. Like everything else on Crypton, some of these crystals are rarer (hence more valuable) than others. Holders of Mythical crystals are revered amongst those of the Crystal Guilds.

An Extraction wand is the only way that the delicate crystals of Crypton can be harvested without being destroyed. Carefully pulling them out of the rock using well-practiced arcane powers (as well as a sufficiently charged Extraction Wand). If you like shiny things, this is the profession for you!

Gem Cutting

The GCU (Gem Cutting Union) of Crypton is a proud institution and one of the most respected by the people of Enchanteria. Their study and application of gems is first rate and provides a focus point for the magical powers of those who reside on Crypton.

All gems, be they common or rare, have great power…but they must be purified and cut in precise ways to fully unlock their potential. That’s where the GCU comes in. In Dawn of Crypton, crystal extractors harvest the gems, but it is the responsibility of gem cutters in this early stage to purify the crystals. This process is done using a grinder, removing the dirt and rock still attached to crystals.

Care and respect are given to all gems. However, when working with the fabled Mythical crystals, a gem cutter is ultra precise! Are you one of the lucky ones?

Mining

The miners of Crypton are amongst some of the hardest workers on the planet — or so they would have you believe. It is true that they carry their pickaxes and search over and under the land for usable resources. However, they have become masters at enchanting their axes. Even Wizards, who are not known for their physical strength, are capable of mining the ore and stone straight from the earth!

Copper, Granite, and Tin are among the resources that can be found on Crypton. If you are inclined to seek more unique ore, you will be intrigues to know there are rumors of molten metal called Ignamite, and a stone that is pure white and glows known as Lightstone. Rare stone and ore are best mined with the best of tools. The Mythical pickaxe is revered and gives the wielder the greatest advantage.

In Dawn of Crypton, miners will have access to Sandstone, Copper, and Limestone as the literal foundations of Enchanteria are being built. Even amongst such resources, perfection can be found! The question is, will it be by your pick axe?

Carpentry

Carpentry on Crypton is one of the foundation professions. They have been charged, along with the Architects, of building Enchanteria from the ground up. While all apprentice carpenters would love to be making advanced furniture immediately…that’s not possible without the planks to do it! In Dawn of Crypton, carpenters will spend the majority of their time at the lumber mill turning the raw logs received from woodcutters into fine, usable planks. Even seemingly mundane work has its benefits though. Some of those planks are so perfectly made it’s as if they were crafted with magic…Mythical planks. Imagine building your house out of enchanted wood!

Tailoring

Tailoring as a profession on Crypton is highly sought after and offers a wealth of fabrics, dyes, and style options for the artisan to be creative. Throughout Cosmic Island, there are a variety of sources of fabrics - some come from the wild plants that grow all over the island, while some are farmed by other denizens.

In Dawn of Crypton, Tailors will have access to gathering the required base materials to begin their crafting adventure. Whether that be Hemp Fiber or the Coconut Husks, Tailors find ways to use the items, and masters of the craft make them with style! What will you design?

Farming

Farmers in the Cosmic Universe are potentially the most utilized of all the professions. Almost all professions use their products in one way or another, and all Wizards need food! However, farmers have the strongest relationship with the cooks of the land, tending vegetables and raising animals for the highest quality ingredients is the bread and butter of a farmer.

In Dawn of Crypton, land is only ready for basic resources to be harvested. Carrots, potatoes, and onions are the staple of every meal for the early settlers on Crypton. However, as all farmers know...not all vegetables are made equalim

Cooking

A cook's utensils are paramount in the success of their career. High quality utensils provide a distinct advantage to any cooking endeavor. Cooks also have strong relationships with both the farmers and fishers of Crypton. Combining the two professions masterfully offers some of the most amazing and rewarding food imaginable.

In Dawn of Crypton, ingredients are limited to what the gathering professions are able to bring in, and as such, so are the ingredients. A cook also has to master the preparation of such ingredients, as chopping, slicing, and filleting are not easy, and make a huge difference to the quality of the outcome. Become a master and cut a mythical fillet to be revered for its magical gastronomical delight among all cooks!
